Two weeks and counting…the HERB Garden lives!…mostly.
I grew up a Landscaper’s daughter, in the country, with a beautiful garden (that I was asked to water or pick the already grown veggies at most). HOWEVER, up until a year ago, I could not, would not, keep a plant alive. An herb garden? Here goes nothing.
What changed a year ago? Josh found me an indoor/outdoor plant called celosia that is impossible to kill. It survived indoors in Philly. So let’s see how it does outdoors in this humidity we call Pensacola. (Yes that is a brown dot on that leaf…)
Besides this indestructible plant, we also added an entire herb garden to our outdoor space. As many of you know I found myself switching from “I can cook Tyson frozen chicken” to “I can cook braised lamb with fingerling potatoes on a bed of cauliflower puree” all thanks to a bunch of 8-13 year olds on some reality tv show. It’s been the most fun transition, from attempting to follow a recipe to throwing things in without measuring. It’s my art.
